Description

The lion nebula has been on my list for this year as this is such a fabulous area for SHO.  I also love the core and the oxygen jet stream.   Recently I was inspired by Jian Yuan Pen's stunning image of same here   I'm humbled to post my version.

After wasting 7 nights working on my new WO71GT reducer backspace issues, I decided enough for now and pulled out my trusty WO102GT.   Images were taken over 5 nights from my backyard Sept 3 through the 8th.

PS - I resurrected by CGEM II to continue working on the 71GT.  Had to purchase a lighter countweight.  I forgot how much I dislike this mount!  painful compared to my CEM70G.  Last night I took images without the flattener/reducer.  Stars were oblong towards the corners of course, but no coma type smearing/distortion.  Tonight I'll try with my old Hotech reducer  for comparison.  I've ruled out most everything I can think of except the WOF6Aiii.
